HTH Worldwide announces TripProtector insurance plans with sickness and accident benefits

HTH Worldwide, a global health and safety services company, today announced that its TripProtector(SM) insurance plans are now available with sickness, accident and medical evacuation benefits up to $1 million and medical assistance services that include direct payment to participating doctors and hospitals in over 180 countries. Most trip protection plans on the market today limit medical benefits to $25,000 or $50,000 and require policyholders to file claims to be reimbursed for medical costs. HTH's TripProtector(SM) plans feature major medical benefits and can eliminate all out-of-pocket costs for medical care outside the United States.

"Trip protection or trip cancellation plans often expose policyholders to thousands of dollars of medical expense and in need of a separate supplemental medical policy," said Brendan Sharkey, Director of Individual Products at HTH Worldwide. "Now travelers can enjoy robust trip protection coverage plus superior medical benefits -- and the peace of mind they bring -- when they buy it all in one package: HTH's TripProtector(SM)." HTH combines these generous benefits with HTH's unsurpassed global medical assistance services, including Global Health and Safety databases available online and on mobile phones via HTH's mPassport(SM) service:

  • International Physician Community -- over 5,500 carefully selected general and specialist physicians, dentists and other health professionals in over 180 countries, each under contract with HTH and each available to address the healthcare needs of the global traveler.
  • Medication Brand Name and Terms Translation -- hundreds of commonly used medications and medical terms and phrases translated into the most widely spoken languages and brand equivalents in the most frequently visited countries
  • Concierge-level International Medical Assistance -- A 24/7, toll-free call center that assists insured members with everything from requests for doctor appointments and cashless access to managing medical emergencies.
  • Emergency Evacuation Service -- a worldwide network of contracted Physician Advisors as well as air ambulance operators selected for their safety records will manage and execute an exit strategy quickly and efficiently.
