The AC600 Series UPUV workstation is intended to handle biological samples properly and provide a safe location for opening small packages. It protects the user from airborne diseases and uses UV-C light to decontaminate objects and the work area. The UPUV workstation captures potentially dangerous contaminants using established HEPA technology.
All UPUV workstations are leak tested and approved at the factory using a 0.2 to 0.5 micron aerosol and then scanned for bypass. Units contain certification results for future verification.
The primary chamber of each AC600 Series UPUV workstation is made of sturdy polycarbonate, allowing for complete 360-degree viewing. The overlapping sash, a vital design safety element, keeps airborne contaminants from leaving the workplace in the event that an unknown chemical is discovered. The polycarbonate structure creates a natural barrier against the UV-C rays to disinfect the workstation.
