BioIVT offers a variety of hepatocyte test systems, including immortalized or primary cells, fresh or cryopreserved, and animal or human hepatocytes, all available in the format of your choice. Hepatocytes are available from individual or pooled donors, as suspension or plateable cells, and BioIVT itself can even plate them for you upon request.

BioIVT also has additional unique preparations containing plated cells and the materials necessary to maintain long-term hepatocyte-fibroblast co-cultures or long-term hepatocyte-fibroblast-Kupffer cell tri-cultures.
HEPATOPAC facilitates in vitro analysis of compounds characterized by low clearance and slow metabolism rates. Utilizing HEPATOPAC technology, models yield essential insights unattainable through conventional methods employing suspended, plated, or sandwich-cultured hepatocytes, or alternative systems.
Furthermore, the micropatterned design of HEPATOPAC cultures enhances their consistency and reproducibility, surpassing that of randomly arranged hepatocyte co-cultures
HEPATOMUNE cultures provide a highly effective in vitro liver platform designed for modeling inflammation-induced hepatotoxicity. Through a unique fabrication technique, "islands" of human hepatocytes are cultured alongside stromal and Kupffer cells in a precise ratio.
This setup replicates the liver's physiological microenvironment, facilitating a natural response to cytokine-mediated drug-induced liver injury (DILI). HEPATOMUNE cultures maintain viability for a minimum of 10 days, offering a distinctive in vitro model for examining hepatic inflammation and responses under experimental conditions
Additionally, BioIVT manufactures media specially designed for thawing, plating, and incubating BioIVT hepatocytes in culture. Since INVITROGRO hepatocyte media does not contain antibiotics, they have a longer shelf life. Users can add the antibiotic and supplement mix to the INVITROGRO hepatocyte media whenever convenient because the TORPEDOTM Antibiotic Mix is available separately.
INVITROGRO KHB is designed for cell dilution and in vitro assays. The ACCULIVER kits allow BioIVT clients to replicate the experimental conditions developed and regularly employed in BioIVT labs. Specifically intended for use with TRANSPORTER CERTIFIED hepatocytes, each kit comes complete with all necessary materials and protocols to address liver-specific inquiries.
