Bluehill Central software is a laboratory management solution designed to centralize and remotely administer Bluehill Universal software across multiple Instron test frames.
It enables users to remotely manage Bluehill Universal users, test templates, results, file revision approvals, and audit trail data across different Instron systems.

How it works?
Bluehill Central architecture
Bluehill Central uses a client/server network to store all shared files, data, and settings on a Microsoft® SQL Server database. By connecting the lab's Bluehill Central server to Bluehill Universal, all testing systems can receive and send data from the centralized database, reducing the risk of variation and the inconvenience of running each system locally.

Laboratory
PCs running Bluehill Universal connected to the company's network can access the Bluehill Central database in the lab using the Central plug-in.
Data center
An IT-administered data center can host the SQL Server database, which centrally stores Instron data, and the Bluehill Server program, which manages all transactions between clients and the database. All clients and servers are connected via the corporate network.
Office
The Bluehill Central viewer allows users to access files and settings outside of the lab. Bluehill Universal licenses can also be used offline to view sample data and modify test procedures.
Teams
Bluehill Central makes grouping users into teams that share files and settings possible. The group establishes file access and permissions for an operator. This enables the lab to manage different settings and workflows based on the group using the system.

Which modules are right for the lab?
Lab Management
The Lab Management module contains Bluehill Central's file repository housed on the database server. Linking Instron frames can access the database to carry out controlled test procedures or export results.

Centralized file storage
Manage every file kept in the database. The structure of files and folders can be altered to suit the user's needs.
View revision history
Every Bluehill file has a history that lists every modification associated with that file revision.
Download files
The latest and earlier versions of the files kept in the database are accessible to users.
Upload files
Users can upload test templates or other resources to grant access to all linked systems.
Traceability
The Traceability module in Bluehill Central allows users to remotely review and electronically approve modifications to test procedures, sample data, and other Bluehill files that occur on Instron systems.
The automated recording of file approvals and a number of other user actions in Bluehill Central and Bluehill Universal produces a consolidated audit trail that can be used to ascertain who, what, when, and why on any connected Instron system.

Review file changes remotely
Perform file evaluations for all connected test systems from the comfort of the office.
Filter and print audit trail
It is possible to search, filter, and print the audit trails of all connected test systems.
View details of audit trail items
The detail pane contains additional information about the chosen audit trail entry.
Trendtracker
The Bluehill Central TrendTracker module speeds up the lab’s data analysis workflow. Thanks to an easy-to-use interface, users can quickly search, view, and analyze results over time and across multiple samples and test systems. Bid farewell to tedious data copying and file searching.
Multi-sample data analysis
Analyze the data from several samples generated by various test systems.

Customizable queries
Run queries that provide information about trends and outliers and are defined by test parameters or results.
Visually plotting
Plot a variety of chart types to visualize data sets.
Export data
Users can export the data to a CSV file for further analysis and then open it in a program like Minitab®.
