April 21-27 officially proclaimed as Ann Arbor Veg Week

VegMichigan has teamed up with US VegWeek to bring you Ann Arbor Veg Week 2014, a week-long celebration of meat-free living. Those taking the 7-Day Veg Pledge are joining thousands of Americans choosing meat-free meals for one week--helping animals, the planet, and their health--one meal at a time.

Over 20 local restaurants are offering special Veg Week menu items and/or discounts, offering vegetarian and vegan alternatives to support people taking the pledge or just wanting to reduce the amount of animal foods they consume.

Ann Arbor Veg Week events include a kickoff party at The Lunch Room, a film screening, discussions, and a book signing. To view details of events and restaurant specials, take the pledge, or view the Mayor's proclamation visit www.annarborvegweek.org.
