Designed for the demanding requirements of public safety and elite military forces, the compact, rugged Thermo Scientific™ Gemini™ analyzer allows operators to execute their mission quickly, safely and accurately.
This analyzer from Thermo Fisher represents the industry standard in handheld chemical analyzers due to its versatility, ease of use and robustness.
Scan formats
Gemini provides two formats for scanning: ID mode and screener mode. ID mode is perfect for chemical identification by advanced operators, whereas screener mode offers a simpler interface aimed at low-concentration narcotics detection.

Intuitive operation
Minimal training is required for proficiency, thanks to Gemini’s graphical interface. For first-time users, the Scan Assist feature guides technology selection with a series of easy questions.
The consistent workflow and interface across technologies ensures that experienced operators can proceed with sampling quickly.
Scan delay
As well as the adjustable laser power, Raman scan delay and other integrated safety features, Gemini introduces an FTIR scan delay (enabled by the motorized anvil), an industry first.

ID mode employs Raman and FTIR technology to provide complementary and confirmatory results. This scanning mode is ideal for advanced users and enables the general characterization of chemicals.

Suited to all user levels, the screener mode (available with LowDoseID) utilizes Raman and SERS technology for tasks such as narcotics identification. A direct scan may be employed via holder or probe for analysis of substances that are pure or in high concentration. Alternatively, a type H scan may be used to identify substances present in low concentration or analyze items with fluorescence issues.
