High-quality GMP human IL-12 protein

Interleukin 12 (IL-12), also known as p70, is a cytokine naturally produced by dendritic cells, macrophages, and human B-lymphoblastoid cells (NC-37) in response to antigenic stimulation. It is a heterodimeric molecule composed of two subunits, IL-12A (p35) and IL-12B (p40).

IL-12 plays a key role in the immune response by promoting the differentiation of naive T cells into Th1 cells. As a T cell-stimulating factor, it enhances the growth and function of T cells while inducing the production of IFN-γ and TNF-α from both T cells and natural killer (NK) cells. Additionally, IL-12 counteracts IL-4-mediated suppression of IFN-γ, further supporting immune activation.

Beyond its immunomodulatory functions, IL-12 is also involved in anti-angiogenic processes, inhibiting the formation of new blood vessels. This property has potential implications for cancer therapy and other critical angiogenesis conditions.

Application data

For two weeks, human PBMCs were cultivated in CelThreaTM GMP T Cell Expansion Medium (ACROBiosystems, Cat. No. GMP-CM3101 & GMP-CM3101-1) with GMP Human IL-2 Protein (ACROBiosystems, Cat. No. GMP-L02H14), GMP Human IL-12 Protein (ACROBiosystems, Cat. No. GMP-L12H23), and GMP Human 4-1BB Ligand Protein (ACROBiosystems, Cat. No. GMP-41LH26).

According to the results, GMP Human IL-12 Protein (ACROBiosystems) can support these cells' growth while maintaining a respectable level of cell viability and can be compared to the competitor M IL-12 protein.
